With the special Kerner VdP Nordwestschweiz from 2017, you will positively surprise your guests. You can describe the landscape of Eastern Switzerland with words such as hilly. However, the Swiss winery Siebe Dupf Kellerei is trying to express the beauty of its homeland with this white wine. We think he succeeded!

Tasting note
The Kerner is very delicately fruity with an unobtrusive light nutmeg bouquet. It impresses with its spiciness, the aromas of exotic fruits and stone fruits and its fine-bred acidity derived from Riesling. A very digestible wine that is the ideal accompaniment to both an aperitif and a wide variety of dishes.

Vinification
The Kerner grape variety was created in 1929 from a cross between the two grape varieties Trollinger (red) and Rhine Riesling (white) and was formerly called White Herald. It was only later renamed Kerner in reference to the Swabian poet Justinus Kerner. The grapes come from various municipalities in Basel and are harvested by hand. Fermentation and expansion take place exclusively in steel tanks.
