The Vernatsch “Alexander” thrives 350 m above sea level on a south-facing slope below the Leuchtenburg ruins on porphyry bedrock. This unique location near Lake Caldaro with its deep soil makes it possible to produce an expressive and complex Vernatsch with good shelf life. The scents of strawberries, white pepper, licorice and cooked plums combine to create a red-fruity, spicy composition. On the palate, the aromas of blood orange, rose hip, hibiscus, and pepper interweave. Tip: Serve slightly chilled!
