Regis Camus — a legend. Probably the most decorated winemaker of his time. The man who was responsible for Piper-Heidsieck's champagnes for decades, whose icon Rare Champagne not only built up and made it an independent brand, but above all: achieved everything sensually possible in champagne with this wine. He is uncompromising - only 11 vintages of Rare Champagne in 40 years have been bottled - and a master of blending, which he also shows today at Sauska in Tokaj. And that is precisely the unique idea behind his own Heavensake project in Japan. Heavenly composition through the blending of already outstanding sake from world-renowned breweries - and with what a success: His blends have been highly decorated several times and have been named the best in the world.
