Tasting note
The Huneeus Quintessa glows in a deep purple hue. On the nose, an elegant bouquet of blackcurrants, cherries and ripe plums unfolds, accompanied by nuances of chocolate, cedarwood and a touch of spices. The palate is powerful yet supple with perfectly integrated tannins and a full but balanced fruit. Notes of black berries and tobacco are mixed with a delicate touch of vanilla and toast. The aftertaste is long, with a fine minerality and a complex structure that ensures excellent shelf life.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with grilled beef tenderloin, lamb, game dishes and aged hard cheese.
Vinification
After destemming, fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature to maximize aromas. The wine ages in French oak barrels for 18 months, 70% of which are in new barrels.
