About the wine

More than 4400 cooperative members provide Provins, the largest Swiss wine producer, with the income from the vineyards between Sierre and Lake Geneva. The company focuses on quality and produces around 20 of today's 50 Valais grape varieties. Top oenologists Madeleine Gay and Luc Sermet and their team vinify the wines from the premium Provins brand, Maître de Chais, as the cooperative's unique calling card. It is the most frequently awarded Swiss wine line at major international competitions. The international class crus, an ideal complement to sophisticated gastronomy, are expressive wines that perfectly reflect the characteristics of terroir and grape variety.

Tasting note
Rich red with dark reflections. On the nose, you can already sense the floral notes, like a fine forest profile. On the palate, the wine starts off with an earthy, aromatic profile. Notes of wild berries, undergrowth, tree bark and violets.
Culinary recommendation
Our recommendation: Enjoy this red wine at a slightly chilled 16°-18°C. Flaschenpost team is recommended with hash browns with bacon, cheese platters and cheese slices.
Vinification
Aging for 12 months in large barrels (fuders).
