About the product
As the first V.S.O.P., which is still popular all over the world, the Hennessy V.S.O.P. reflects the proven expertise of the Hennessy Tasting Committee and the Master Blender. The blend of four up to 15-year-old eaux-de-vie, most of which mature in old French oak barrels, offers a perfect balance between character and softness.
Tasting note
Colour: bright mahogany Aroma: First impressions of vanilla, clove and cinnamon give way to fine roasted notes that come from the oak barrels in which the eaux-de-vie ripen. Taste: The characteristic combination of strength and softness is what makes V.S.O.P. so iconic. The long finish stands for the quality of the cognac.
Vinification
Whether pure, on ice or in a cocktail, V.S.O.P. has a full-bodied and aromatic mildness and is therefore perfect for any occasion. Hennessy V.S.O.P. is the ideal expression of a perfectly balanced cognac, which was ordered in 1817 by the future King George IV of the United Kingdom for a “Very Superior Old Pale” cognac.
