About the wine

The first documented name Nittnaus in Gols dates back to the 17th century. (Michael Nidnausz). Since that time, the Nittnaus have been cultivating and farming. In 1927, Johann Nittnaus, the grandfather of the current owner, built the estate at Untere Hauptstraße 49, where the company is still located today. His successor Johann Nittnaus converted the mixed farm to a pure wine-growing business with 10 ha of vineyards, 70% white wine and 30% red wine. In 1985, Anita and Hans Nittnaus took over the parents' business and began to convert and expand the vineyards. In particular, the proportion of red wine was increased. Today, the farm cultivates 25 hectares of vineyards, of which 90% are red and 10% are white grape varieties.

Tasting note
Heideboden - and imagine that: The soil is soft springy, the Merlot, the warm spicy scent of earth and wood, the Zweigelt, the tart freshness of wild herbs, from Blaufränkisch, of all three times this, sometimes that, mostly dark berries. On the palate - where else should you be - this scene again. It runs softly on the palate, of course not without brushing the tart, even slightly hard herbs and snacking on the ripe, deep dark berries in order to return to the path of dark, soft soil, woods and a few stones, and so blissfully and long, all together in mind, continuing.
Culinary recommendation
Flaschenpöstler-Tipp: Heideboden, eamit Kork passt bestens zu Ente, leicht scharfem, rotem Fleisch und Geflügel. Unsere Empfehlung: Geniessen Sie diesen Bio-Rotwein bei leicht gekühlten 15°-17°C.
