About the wine
Made in Tuscany by the Tenuta il Quinto winery, GuardoAlto is made from grapes from three different plots planted in the early 2000s by the previous owners of the winery: a tribute to the history of the winery, its inhabitants and its terroir. These plots differ in their location, inclination and soil composition, which gives the wine its unique character. Merlot, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon make up the blend of this wine, which ages in used French oak barrels for around 18 months before bottling.

Tasting note
Dark ruby red with a narrow, brightening edge. Intense on the nose, like plum compote, red currant jam, plus a touch of cardamom. Soft and velvety on the palate, fresh and with firm tannins to a juicy finish.
