The traditional Weingut Mayer am Pfarrplatz has been pressing the best Viennese wine in Döbling since 1683. The vineyards are located entirely within Vienna's city limits in the 17th and 18th districts. But not only that: In 1817, Ludwig van Beethoven, who was already famous at the time, lived in the romantic, listed house of the Mayer family. He worked on his 9th symphony here. - The Grüner Veltliner is very classical with the famous “Pfefferl”. Fresh, fruity, with a delicate scent of meadow herbs on the nose and slightly spicy fruit on the palate, this is a great aperitif, but also an ideal accompaniment to light dishes.
