About the wine

Hermann Dörflinger was one of the first South Baden winemakers to produce uncompromisingly dry wines. He has always remained true to this guideline. Its fine, complex and fruity Pinot Blanc, its elegant Gutedel, its very appealing Chardonnay, but also its complex Pinot Noir testify to the class of this winery. In the typical Gutedel growing region - also known elsewhere as Chasselas or Fendant - Dörflinger did not want to follow the trend towards expansive Gutedel with exotic fruit notes any more than other fads. The traditionalist, on the other hand, is more likely to rely on the classic, varietal expansion. His courage to let the grapes ripen longer on the vine in autumn is also rewarded. Despite heavy must weights, his wines always retain elegance. Hermann Dörflinger is no longer a secret tip; his company is now considered one of the top addresses in Markgräflerland in southern Baden.
