About the wine
If we can offer something special for Christmas 2021, it's this dominant Carignan 2013 — Gran Cruor Seleccio Caranyena Priorat DOQ, wooden box. You can describe nature in Catalonia with words such as barren. However, the Spanish winery Gran del Siurana is trying to express the beauty of its homeland with this red wine. We think he succeeded! Tasting note
A pure Cariñena dressed in deep dark, cherry-red robe. On the nose, there is a harmonious combination of notes of ripe, red fruits, licorice, menthol and chocolate. Extremely elegant on the palate and at the same time fresh with soft tannins. A characterful and limited edition wine that knows how to reveal the true potential of the grape variety and the terroir.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with beef fillet, braised leg of lamb and strong cheese.
Vinification
17 months in French oak barrels.
