About the wine
Bodegas Félix Callejo was founded in 1989 and is run as a purely family business. Before oenologist José Félix Callejo, the son of founder Félix Callejo, joined his parents' winery, he worked with Jean-Claude Berrouet at what is perhaps the most famous of all French wineries, Château Petrus, and vinified wine for Miguel Torres in Chile. The family's second oenologist, Noelia Callejo, was responsible for the wines together with Michel Rolland at Araujo Estate Wines in California. So it's no wonder that Félix Callejo is now among the absolute top class in Spain, as shown in particular by Robert Parker's consistently high score.

Tasting note
Sumptuous Gran Reserva with aromas of dark fruits, fine wood notes and spices. Ripe tannins, full body and exciting freshness make the wine a highlight.
Culinary recommendation
Red meat such as lamb, game or beef.
Vinification
Aging for 24 months in barriques, then a further 36 months in the bottle.
