About the wine
Whenever a bottle of Santos Ortiz's selection of the best 38 barriques is presented, it creates excitement — certainly also at your next dinner with friends. This is due not only to the eye-catching etiquette with the idiosyncratic character “Goru”, but above all to the outstanding skills of the winemaker. His skill has contributed significantly to the Jumilla region near Alicante being recognized today as the source of first-class wines.

Tasting note
Intense purple with purple reflections. The expressive nose reveals aromas of black cherry, juniper and cinnamon plum, complemented by dark berries, gingerbread, sweet tobacco and a touch of eucalyptus. On the palate, the wine shows an impressive fruit concentration, surrounded by delicate tannin. It is youthful and impetuous, but at the same time with a cool elegance that lasts until the long, multi-faceted finale. This vintage of Goru 38 barrels is the biggest and best so far.
Culinary recommendation
An excellent accompaniment to grilled meat, suckling pig and minced meatballs. This wine also goes well with various types of cheese and chicken dishes.
