About the wine

The Josef Krug & Co. winery was founded in Winterthur in 1922. The winery processes and presses Blauburgunder grapes from the Zurich wine country using traditional methods into featherwhite, classic Pinot Noir or allows the wine to mature in local oak barrels to form our Pinot Noir Barrique or Goldenberge Cuvée. Each vintage should represent the character of the year, which is why the wines are standardized as little as necessary and only embellished when necessary. A good wine takes time, which is why the wine is aged and this determines when the new vintage is bottled, which can be autumn if good and happy. Thanks to the traditional production method, Krug wines have very good aging properties.
