Patiently aged in Scotland for 21 years, it starts off calm, reserved but rich with a defiant Glenfiddich Distillery DNA. Only when he has achieved his perfection does he get his time to shine. After bottling in Caribbean reserve rum barrels, spicy ginger, sultry fig and invigorating lime notes are added, which develop into a crescendo of sweet toffee and spicy exotic warmth.

This whiskey was finished maturing in barrels in which 4-year-old Cuban rum was originally stored.
Vinification
For 20 years, William Grant had the dream of making “the best whiskey in the valley.” With the help of his family, he finally made his dream come true. In the summer of 1886, William, together with his seven sons and two daughters, began to fulfill his lifelong dream. Together, they began building a distillery, brick by brick. After a year of hard work, it was time for William to call her Glenfiddich, Gaelic for “Valley of the Deer.” William's passion, determination and pioneering spirit have shaped Glenfiddich to the present day. The world's most awarded single malt Scotch whiskey is still produced today in the distillery, which is still family-owned and has been able to preserve the innovative character of its founder over five generations.
