About the wine

From a small garage business to a top winery with cult status: The story of Tua Rita from Suvereto is impressive. What once began as a retirement project by Rita Tua and Virgilio Bisti is now one of the world's best. The winery became famous with Redigaffi 2000, the first Italian Merlot, which received 100 points from Robert Parker and the Wine Spectator. The pure Syrah, the Giusto di Notri Bordeaux blend and the accessible Rosso dei Notri also inspire wine connoisseurs worldwide. Under the leadership of daughter Simena and son-in-law Stefano, the winery remains true to its own ideals.

Tasting note
Manipulator - he has the power, he has the charm, he has something vicious. Super charming, ripe, calm red fruit, cleverly concealed the clarified intention: the dark berries, the precise vegetable freshness, the even darker side appeal in the background: very dark soil. On the palate, first the army offensive, the soft tempting fruit, then he takes control: Clearly structured, plenty of tannins, then drives his game almost cocky to mischievous: the fruit is very ripe now, a touch of brandy, very tart, slightly bitter, also licorice, dark earth, and he then lets go: sounds elegant. Unique as Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franchier each ideally appear to be hidden in harmony again. Nothing but big.
Culinary recommendation
Flaschenpost team is recommended for pizza with mushrooms, ribeye steak and Gruyère burgers. Our recommendation: The perfect drinking temperature for the red wine is a slightly chilled 16°-18°C. The wine should be enjoyed during this period: vintage + 10 years.
Vinification
Very selective harvest by hand. Maceration and fermentation with the vineyard's own yeasts, aged 18 months in once used French oak barrels (225l).
