With experience and intuition, the winemaker from the Italian winery Azienda Agricola Villa di Corlo masters this red wine in the fertile and blooming countryside of Emilia-Romagna. Tasting note
Dark ruby with purple reflections. On the nose, almost beguiling notes of small, ripe wild berries. The whole thing is underpinned with delicate, warm spicy and roasted notes. Juicy and well-balanced on the palate. A modern style, with lots of fruit and flavor. Elegant barrique notes linger in the medium-long finale.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with spicy pasta and fried meats.
Vinification
The grape varieties come from organic farming and are planted separately, harvested and fermented in steel tanks. After the varieties have been blended, the young wine is aged for nine to twelve months in French oak barrels of 225 and 350 l. In total, only approx. 9000 bottles are bottled.
