About the wine

Tasting note
Intense ruby red, rich and concentrated, with wild berries, Mediterranean scrub, black pepper, undergrowth, chocolate and aromatic herbs. Very structured, energetic, warm, concentrated, rich and enveloping, with soft tannins.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with red meat stew, game, roasts and grilled meats, aged cheeses.
Vinification
Created in 1979 from an idea by Ugo and Vittorio Contini Bonacossi, who wanted to produce a wine with a Bordeaux blend in Carmignano. In 1992, when the S. Alessandro vineyard, which consists exclusively of Cabernet Sauvignon, was put into operation, the blend was changed; Syrah was added in 1998. Ghiaie della Furba is an intense, powerful and concentrated Tuscan red wine made from a blend of international grape varieties and aged in barriques for 18 months. Rich and rich aromas of red fruits, forest spices, Mediterranean scrub and chocolate are the prelude to an energetic, dense and structured sip supported by significant tannins.
