About the wine
With the first-class Garrisa Susumaniello Salento IGT, which was produced in 2016, you will certainly have a lot of fun. Sunny and fertile landscapes in Apulia give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Italian winery Li Veli conjures up this red wine with refinement and sensitivity.
Tasting note
The ruby red wine seduces with an intense aroma of red berries, such as sour cherries and raspberries, as well as blackcurrants. There are also notes of licorice, rhubarb and some leather. On the palate, the wine is soft and full-bodied, with finely structured tannins. It presents itself with an unusual freshness.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with vegetable and pasta dishes, as well as with white meats and mild hard cheeses.
Vinification
Temperature-controlled fermentation for 15 days in steel tanks at 27°C, aging for 6 months in used barriques.
