Garnatxa-peluda DOQ Priorat 2019 - Silvia Puig

Ruby red with bright reflections. On the nose, red fruits, leather. Aromatic and fresh in the mouth, pleasantly tasty, does not appear alcoholic despite 15.5% vol. >2030 Silvia grows this wine from the Grenache mutation Peluda varietal. Also known as the synonym Grenache d'Afrique, this furry (peluda), hairy on the underside of the leaves, is much more robust and resistant to climate change. It protects itself against dehydration and is not very susceptible to downy mildew. The skins are thick and their wines are acidic and strong. This old variety, frowned upon because of its low yield, is only rarely grown. Varietal, it is a rarity. We were able to secure a few boxes for Cavino. Very, very rare
