Tasting note
Red currants, fresh blackberries, graphite and black tea leaves come out of the glass. The palate has tremendous structure and fullness with excellent concentration. Ripe tannins and a strong aroma intensity of dark chocolate, fresh truffle and star anise in the long, complex aftertaste round off the taste experience.
Vinification
After harvesting, the selected grapes are sorted manually, cold macerated for 24 to 36 hours, followed by fermentation for two weeks. The wine is then aged for 20 months in 78% new French oak barrels.
