Tasting note
It's surprising what a pale pink color can be made from 100% Garnacha wine! There are elegant, fresh notes of strawberries and peaches on the nose as well as a floral aroma of rose petals. On the palate, it surprises with lots of body and oiliness. Something unusual in a rosé that offers a complexity that, together with its minerality and such balanced acidity, is really fun right down to the last sip!
Vinification
Short maceration period, fermentation takes place exclusively in small wooden barrels. Because of the small size of the growing area and the low yields, some batches have to be fermented in barrels with a capacity of 500 to 1,000 liters. After fermentation at a low temperature, Muga then works with the fine yeast, which remains in the barrel for at least 4 months after the wine process. The separately fermented wines are then blended, stabilized and bottled.
