The old Quinta das Tecedeiras in the heart of the port wine region, formerly a nunnery, is now owned by wine enthusiasts Marcelo Lima and Tony Smith. Their commitment is imbued with genuine passion in this secluded corner, which, depending on the season, can only be reached by boat. The terroir is superb, the pool of old vines a real treasure. The red flower comes from the native varieties of Portugal: Touriga Nacional and Franca as well as the Tintas Amarela, Barroca, Roriz and Cão). Aged without contact with wood, the aroma clearly focuses on fresh dark berry and plum fruit with mineral-earthy notes. Ideal as a universal food companion
