Deep red, almost inscrutable, a prelude to its density. A nose full of strong aromas that focus on dark fruits such as blackberries, black cherries and plums, followed by various layers of black pepper, cloves, licorice, thyme, bay leaves, and a pinch of truffles, dark chocolate and tobacco. The palate shows aromatic breadth, and the nerve and acidity of the wine. A ripe tannin comes with volume and complexity.
