About the wine
The winemaker from the Italian winery Pandolfa - Noelia Ricci absolutely masters his craft. Elegance and finesse are the characteristics of this red wine, which originates in the flourishing and fertile countryside of Emilia-Romagna. We have a special, outstanding red wine from 2016 for you, which is a source of enthusiasm among many wine connoisseurs. Flaschenpöstler tip: Pair this Sangiovese with beef or pasta.

Tasting note
After previous history, the new owner, Giuseppe Ricci, began to restore the agriculture of the Azienda Pandolfa and also set up a wine business. Today, 40 of the 140 hectares are planted with vines (Sangiovese, Trebbiano and some Chardonnay). Ricci's nephew Marco Cirese runs the business today. The transition to organic viticulture is currently underway. Sangioves Federico comes from the lowest-lying vineyard in the Azienda. It ferments and matures exclusively in steel tanks to preserve its fresh, fruity character. The aromas are reminiscent of strawberries and medicinal herbs. On the palate, it appears slim and, thanks to its fineness, invites you to take a second sip.

Vinification
Angaben über Vinifizierung: Sangiovese ist die Haupttraubensorte in der Romagna. Der Wein stammt aus dem am tiefsten gelegenen Rebberg der Azienda. Er gärt und reift ausschliesslich in Stahltanks, um seinen frisch-fruchtigen Charakter zu bewahren.
