Tasting note
The Faustino Rivero Ulecia Reserva is a powerful, expressive red wine from DO Utiel-Requena, which impresses with depth, elegance and structure. Made from Bobal and Tempranillo grape varieties, it is deep ruby red in the glass with purple and reddish reflections. On the nose, complex aromas of ripe dark fruit, plum, roasted aromas and spices develop. On the palate, it is full-bodied, velvety and round, with well-integrated acidity and a long finish.
Vinification
The grapes come from around 30-year-old vines that grow at an altitude of around 700 m in the Utiel-Requena region. The climate is Mediterranean-continental with low rainfall. The soils consist of a mixture of sand, clay and silt and ensure an optimal balance. The wine ages for at least 36 months, including at least 12 months in barriques, which gives it its harmonious structure and distinctive roasted aromas.
