About the wine
Treat your guests at Christmas dinner with this fresh Tempranillo 2013 — Extrano. With sensitivity and intuition, the winemaker from the South African winery Fairview masters this red wine in the beautiful and sunny landscape of the coastal region. Tasting note
The grapes were handpicked and peeled, after which the berries were sorted into open wooden tanks (foudres). Die-cuts were carried out daily and the grapes were pressed into a basket after fermentation. The wine was aged for 24 months in French and American oak barrels (20% of which in new barrels). Each component of the mixture is kept separate until the final mixture is completed before bottling. Aromas: This wine has a lovely scent and blackberries, plums and spices on the nose Taste: Its beautiful concentration combines cherry and warm, spicy tones with elegant, linear and firm tannins.
