About the wine

In the hinterland of Barcelona, in the middle of the pampas southwest of the famous monastery mountain Montserrat, are the vines of cousins Josep and Vincens Puiggros. They inherited the vines from their grandfather and can now realize their dream of producing their own wine here. The garage operation, with a production of almost 10,000 bottles, allows the two to meticulously focus on quality, to carry out all work steps themselves and thus conjure up their very own, personal plants. The plots of the Puiggros are located in the municipality of Odena at an altitude of 450-650 meters above sea level. The soils consist of calcareous clay, the climate is both Mediterranean and continental. Harvesting is done manually into small boxes, only healthy grapes are used. The Puiggros winery is now run by Josep alone, Vincent's ambitious goal was too high for Josep, he has dropped out of vinification and only takes care of the vines anymore. The still young bodega already attracted a lot of attention with its first wines. Josep has found perfect premises in a failed industrial project near the town of “Puiggros” and can now really go full throttle.
