This Kentucky Straight Bourbon from Evan Williams impresses with its harmonious yet powerful aroma. The bouquet is particularly honey-based with soft wood and vanilla notes. Alcoholic spiciness is present in the nose, but not as strong as you would expect at a strong 50 percent by volume and also loses significantly in strength when swiveling. The sweetness of honey and vanilla is also particularly dominant in terms of taste. This is somewhat offset by the spiciness of black pepper and a slight citrus note. The alcoholic spiciness is more pronounced here than in the bouquet. Strong, sweet and fruity on the aftertaste. A powerful, not too complex bourbon with distinctly sweet notes.
