Tasting note
The wine is bright ruby red. On the nose, red-fruit aromas of sour cherry, mulberry and marzipan. On the palate, in turn, aromas of ripe fruit. Plus notes of citrus, tomato leaves and oregano. The finish has a good mineral length with a hint of flint.
Vinification
The vines grow at an altitude of 700 - 800 meters above sea level in the municipality of Biancavilla on the south-western slope of Mount Etna. Traditional mash fermentation for 21 days, mainly in cement tanks, followed by 24-month aging in large oak barrels.
