About the wine
The powerful Nerello 2018 — Etna Rosso DOC Pettinociarelle is the missing puzzle piece on your wine rack. Blooming and fertile landscapes in Sicily give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Italian winery Famiglia Statella conjures up this red wine with refinement and experience. Flaschenpöstler tip: Combine this Nerello with Sicilian pasta dishes or beef goulash.

Tasting note
Intense ruby red, quite complex with notes of red fruits and Mediterranean scrub; balanced with thick, velvety tannins and a pleasantly persistent finish.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with meaty starters, grilled main courses made from white or red meat, medium-aged cheeses.
Vinification
Traditional red winemaking with cut-offs; maceration time 10-15 days; aging in French oak tonneaux in the second and third rounds. The alcoholic fermentation is carried out with selected yeasts.
