About the wine
The 2022 Etna Rosso C.S. Bellacolonna from Tenuta delle Terre Nere captures the volcanic energy of Sicily with bright, refined character. Crafted from organic Nerello Mascalese grapes, this red offers fresh, structured layers and precise texture. Tasting note
Intense ruby red with aromas of cherries, raspberries, strawberries, rose petals, violets and Mediterranean herbs. On the palate, this elegant red wine is fresh, with a fine structure, lots of depth and finesse. The aftertaste is persistent and ends with lots of red berries. Bellacolonna is a special bottling for the 20th anniversary of the winery.
Vinification
The selected grapes are harvested manually at the beginning of October and then fermented at a constant temperature of between 28° and 30°C. The wine is then aged for 14 months in barriques and tonneaux, large barrels (10% new wood) and in steel tanks for one month before being bottled. During this time, it biodegrades acids.
