About the wine
Penedès is the stronghold of Spanish sparkling wine production. Most bottles are sold as Cava DO. Cava can also be produced in other areas of Spain. In order to give their own products a sharper profile, a handful of wineries led by Josep Maria Albet i Noya have decided to offer their bottlings as Clàssic Penedès. This also includes Espriu Brut.
