About the wine

Founded in 1916 by Juan Gil Jiménez, the winery is now managed by the fourth generation and has been not only part of but also a cornerstone of Juan Gil Bodegas Familiares since 2002. The wines from the winery have permanently changed the image of the Jumilla region and the entire wine country of Spain. These pioneers of modernism still stand for freshness and desire today, just as they did back then. The philosophy - vineyards up to 100 years old with scarce yields lay the basis for concentrated, full-bodied yet balanced wines full of fruit. This is also based on the unshakable belief in Monastrell. 100 years of winemaking experience with this autochthonous grape variety can be found in every bottle - one of the reasons why the famous Juan Gil 12 Meses was often copied but never achieved.
