About the wine
Montepeloso is the name of an impressive success story. In 1998, Fabio Chiarelotto, who grew up in Switzerland, purchased the winery with its excellent locations in southern Tuscany. After just a few years, the tireless free spirit and perfectionist Fabio Chiarelotto has achieved everything a winemaker can achieve. His rare top wines Gabbro and Nardo are among the best wines in Tuscany, if not all of Italy. With the switch to organic viticulture, his wines also show finer, more precise fruit and greater harmony year after year.

Tasting note
The “Grand Vin” among Montepeloso wines! With the Eneo, the winery is realizing its dream of producing an unmistakable wine from local grape varieties including Sangiovese, paired with Cabernet Sauvignon, which fully expresses the special features of the terroir and yet is also appreciated beyond the borders of Italy. A wine full of character, with an opulent and intense bouquet, which is dominated by black fruits and spicy notes. Silky texture on the palate with a nice balance between dark fruits, subtle roasted aromas and an appealing minerality. Eneo is an all-rounder — it goes well with barbecues, aged cheese and pasta dishes.
