About the wine
El Dorado, the legendary gold country of South America, derives its name from the late Latin “deaurare” (gilding). In the 16th century, this name was attributed to a mysterious city or a hidden country in the Amazon region. The northern province of Navarra in Spain is a true El Dorado for wine. Fine Vitis Vinifera vines have been growing here for centuries, offering optimal ripening conditions for the classic Tempranillo and Garnacha varieties as well as Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon imported from Bordelais in the 19th century.
