About the wine
We have a special, provocative Merlot from 2020 for you, which is a source of enthusiasm among many wine connoisseurs. The winemaker from Austrian Weingut Johann Schwarz is absolutely proficient in his craft. Elegance and finesse are the characteristics of this red wine, which originated in the picturesque countryside of Burgenland. Tasting note
A cuvée is composed of 65% Zweigelt, 25% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc. The name says it all, because this tasty red wine from Schwarz is noble and elegant. The inviting nose image reveals fruity aromas of red and blue berries, plums and juicy cherries, underpinned by fine spice and delicate nougat tones. Juicy, fruity start to the palate, with lovely freshness, again fine spiciness and well-integrated, velvety tannin structure.
Culinary recommendation
A great accompaniment to Wiener Schnitzel or baked chicken with cranberries, but also to various pasta dishes, risotto with mushrooms and also to roast or oven-baked poultry.
