About the wine
The history of the Ridge Winery dates back to 1885. The more recent success story, however, began in 1969 with the arrival of winemaker expert Paul Draper. Together with the reputation for his outstanding “Premier Cru” Monte Bello Cabernet, Ridge is considered an actual Zinfandel specialist. The East Bench from privileged altitudes above the Dry Creek Valley is a single-varietal zinfandel that has been fermented with natural yeast and carefully aged in American oak. It impresses with intensity and perfect body. The aroma shows peppery and fruity facets as well as nuances of spices and cocoa.
