Double Oaked Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey - Woodford Reserve

One of Kentucky's oldest and smallest distilleries. The historic Woodford Reserve Distillery is nestled in rolling grass hills and cattle ranches. One of Kentucky's oldest and smallest distilleries, today's Woodford Reserve Distillery, is built on historic ground, it is located on Kentucky's oldest distillery, where Elijah Pepper began making whiskey in 1812. On the same sacred ground, Master Distiller James Christopher Crow perfected his whiskey-making methods, which are now common practice, including the introduction of sour mash into fermentation. The distillery is home to a 500 foot (150 meter) long, gravity-fed barrel barrel, the legendary copper stills and 100-year-old cypress wood fermentation vats. The Barrelhouse is one of the only ones in the world to have a heating circuit that ensures that every drop of whiskey seeps into the charred and roasted white oak and gives Woodford Reserve its color and characteristic flavor.
