About the wine

Since it was founded by Frédéric Varone in 1900, the Sion-based Varone company has been actively working on the qualitative development of the Valais viticulture and wine industry. For four generations, the Varone family has also been upgrading the extraordinary primal heritage of the higher Rhone Valley. This heritage is the ancient varieties Petite Arvine, Amigne, Humagne blanche, Marsanne blanche, Humagne rouge and Cornalin, which wonderfully represent the numerous facets of the terroir of Sion on the sunny terraces of the wine domains of Clavoz, Comba Bernard, Clos de Châteauneuf and Uvrier.
