The Diplomatico distillery is located in Venezuela at the foot of the Andes and near the Terepaima National Park, a privileged place for rum production. The area offers excellent conditions for growing sugar cane and rum production, with fertile soil, plenty of water and tropical weather.

Tasting note
Diplomatico Ambassador is made from the best reserves of rum. An exquisite 47% ABV rum that has been carefully refined in sherry barrels for an ultimate sensory experience. Ultra premium rum made from the finest reserves of rum in very limited quantities for discerning drinkers and connoisseurs. Balanced and complex profile that develops into a long, warm and smooth finish.
Vinification
The tradition of growing sugar cane in Venezuela dates back to the 15th century and rum has been produced here since 1896. This knowledge combined with the favourable climate and soil conditions give local rum its unique and incomparable properties. This led to the creation of the “Venezuela Rum” designation of origin and the protected seal of approval. Diplomatico values traditional craftsmanship. That is the reason why the distillers are made of copper. Some of these devices and stills date back to the last century. Tradition and modern technology combined with the experience of Master Distillers make it possible to produce a wide variety of premium rums with various flavors.
