About the wine

Ilonka Scheuring from Margetshöchheim, Franconia, took over her family's winery in 2010 and has been at work ever since with great sensitivity, mindfulness and foresight, bringing out her feminine side in her wines, which are always authentically Franconian. In the “ETHOS Group”, she is strongly committed to resource-saving, sustainable viticulture and also lives this philosophy in her own 12 hectares of vineyards. Ilonka Scheuring focuses on environmental and nature conservation — for example, she heats her entire winery with wood and manages traditional orchards for game and bees. Her feminine intuition and sensitivity for high-quality wines earned her the title of “DLG Young Winemaker of the Year” back in 2011.
