Tasting note
When a well-known winemaker from Bordeaux visited Weingut Rings in Freinsheim more than 30 years ago, he noticed that the vineyards in Freinsheim reminded him of his homeland and immediately recommended that a Bordeaux grape variety be planted here. That was how the idea for “The Cross” was born. The warm locations with loose gravel/sand soils offer perfect conditions for creating a German red wine cuvée based on the French model. The small cross is easily accessible even in youth and offers incredible drinking pleasure even with a little maturity.
Culinary recommendation
Our recommendation: The perfect drinking temperature for the red wine is a slightly chilled 16°-18°C. The following period is the ideal enjoyment phase of this wine: 2-8 years after the harvest. With Gruyère burgers, pizza with mushrooms and red meat, we recommend Flaschenpost team.

Aged in new and used barriques.
