About the wine
Do you already know the dominant Cabernet Sauvignon Cygnus Sicilia IGT vintage 2015? If not, it's time! The winemaker from the Italian winery Tasca d'Almerita is absolutely proficient in his craft. Style and finesse are the characteristics of this red wine, which originated in the flourishing and fertile Sicilian countryside. Flaschenpöstler culinary tip: This Cabernet Sauvignon is ideal to serve with ribeye steak or pizza with mushrooms.

Tasting note
Brilliant ruby red with purple reflections. On the nose, a fine, seductive, sweet-spicy scent of raspberries, blackberries, cherries, vanilla, some tobacco, Mon Chéri; the palate is strong, with lots of melting and present but finely polished tannins. The acid has a supportive effect and is well integrated. A mouth-filling, spicy wine with a long, aromatic aftertaste.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with spicy pasta, veal and mild hard cheese.
Vinification
The two types of grapes are harvested by hand and vinified separately. The young wine is aged in 225 liter French barriques (Tronçais and Allier). 30% new barrels and 70% one-year-old barrels are used for the 14-month aging period.
