About the wine
The winemaker from the Austrian winery Granbarrel has absolutely mastered his craft. Style and finesse are the hallmarks of this red wine, which originates in the picturesque landscape of Burgenland. Tasting note
Intense fruit mix from ripe sour cherries to heart cherries and berry fruits to plums and plum roasters. Delicately accompanied by licorice and cool raspberry. Very complex on the palate with lots of spice. Massive crumbly tannins wash around the palate and are replaced at the finish by a fruity, long-lasting arc of acidity.
Culinary recommendation
Recommended by Flaschenpöstlern: Goes well with poultry, slightly spicy red meat and duck.
Vinification
Martin FischFermentation in stainless steel tanks. Move to the Granbarrel granite barrel. Storage for ten months on the fine yeast, then bottled into the Granbarrel Burgundy bottle.
