About the wine
If we can offer something special for New Year's Eve 2021, it's this powerful Shiraz 2017 — Cuvée Dona Maria Ventoux AOP. The wine-growing regions of the French winery Domaine du Tix extend across the landscapes of the Côtes du Rhône, where the experienced winemaker produces this red wine. Tasting note
This cuvée focuses on the grenache grape, accompanied by a small portion of Syrah. The bouquet features aromas of dried sour cherries, prunes and fruit bread, underlined with notes of roasted nuts, fine, dark nougat and a spicy touch reminiscent of smoked meat. The palate is also complex, juicy, fruity and spicy, with good length.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with grilled lamb racks or fried with herbs and garlic, or even with fine game dishes, such as bacon wrapped partridge with porcini mushrooms. Also great with spicy soft cheese.
