Emmanuel Darnaud proved with his first vintage in 2001 that he is one of the greatest talents in viticulture in the Rhône Valley. His Crozes-Hermitage was clearly at the top compared to the appeal competitors. His father-in-law is a renowned winemaker, but Darnaud is nevertheless an independent lone fighter who cultivates his own small domain with outrageous verve, ambition and passion and perfects the wines. Its spicy-pure Crozes Hermitage Trois Chênes comes from very old vineyards, which were once respectfully called Petit-Hermitage in reference to the Rhone Olympus.
