About the wine
Crljenak has an intense ruby red color with a distinct varietal aroma, ranging from discreet floral Mediterranean shrub notes to strong fruity scents of berries and dried plums.
Tasting note
It is full-bodied, with distinct but soft tannins. Although it is a dry wine, it has a long and slightly sweet aftertaste.
Vinification
The wine ages in new Croatian and French oak barrels for 24 months. After the barrique, it matures in stainless steel tanks for a further 6 months. After bottling, it is stored for 11 months.
