About the wine
The picturesque hilly landscape of Monferrato, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is home to the over 30-year-old vines that produce this exceptional food companion. This modern take on Piedmont combines the local Barbera grape with international varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz.

Tasting note
The refreshing bouquet of fruit compote, spices and tobacco brilliantly flirts with your sense of smell. Afterwards, outstanding nuances of black cherry, black plum and black pepper will resolutely and consciously convince your taste buds. A fruity red wine with a strong body and dominant acidity, which develops its individual structure balanced with finely developed tannins on the tongue and palate. This top wine won the prize: Mövenpick score 18/20.
Culinary recommendation
This wine goes well with lamb, brasato, beef cheeks and tenderloin with truffles and stews. It is also wonderful with porcini mushroom dishes and a hearty lentil stew.
