Corbières Cuvée Tradition AOC 2022 - Château La Bastide

About the wine

Guilhem Durand and his wife Anne-Marie have been running the stately Château la Bastide in the heart of Corbières in southern France since 1989. Of the 250 ha of agricultural land belonging to the property, 210 of them are vineyards. 150 are classified for the production of AOC wines, a further 60 for their Vins de Pays. Before that, however, not a single hectare had been planted with vineyards from which a wine could have been made that the two passionate winegrowers had in mind. So they gradually tore out all the vines and replaced them with high-class clones of local grapes and a selection of international grape varieties. At the same time, they modernized the winery, set up a barrique cellar and refined their wine knowledge. All wines are characterized above all by their excellent price/quality ratio.
